Q: How did Tims Ford Get Its Name?

A: Tims Ford Dam was named from an early ford crossing the Elk River near Winchester. The ford was on or near land owned by Abner Mansfield Tims, an early Franklin County settler. The ford was used until about 1885 when the Tims Ford Bridge was constructed across the river.

12 DAYS OF ROMANCE

I found this on the internet and though it was a brilliant idea for Valentines Day that I wanted to share with you all just in case you are not for sure how you want to let that special someone you know you care.

Katie Sparrow came up with 12 Days of Romance ( It goes kind of like the 12 Days of Christmas). Here is what she did and maybe it will give you some ideas. It starts 11 Days before Valentines Day (Feb 3):

Day 1 - One balloon that says " I LOVE YOU"

Day 2 - Two coupons for various special favors or treats

Day 3 - Three love songs, some taped and some written words, that mean something special to the both of you

Day 4 - Four Love Poems

Day 5 - Five terms of endearment

Day 6 - Six chocolate candy hearts

Day 7 - Seven flowers

Day 8 - Eight heart shaped cookies

Day 9 - Nine message heart candies

Day 10 - Ten reasons why you love him/her

Day 11 - Eleven Hershey's hugs and kisses

Day 12 - (Valentines Day) Twelve ways to say "I love you" in different languages.

You can add or change it to fit your personalities make it cute or funny. This way it is something different than just dinner and flowers.
